I offer 45-minute in person coaching sessions at my home.
I'll always welcome you in with a cup of coffee or tea, and the first session's on me!
Most singers underexplore what their voice is capable of, stop short in their training or get stuck in one genre.
Whether you're a seasoned professional or it's early days, let's work together to find new places where your voice really sings.
If you're nearer the beginning of your career, my goal is to equip you with the tools for continued self-teaching and lasting vocal confidence - so you can keep exploring long after we finish working together.
duration: 45 mins
first session: free
ongoing: £50 per session
locations:
• Forest Hill, South
London
• central London (+£15 per
session to cover room hire)
flexibility: if cost or location is a barrier, get in touch anyway and let's see what we can do!

Jack:
Kate's coachings are supportive, playful, and full of moments where things suddenly click.
I always come away more confident and excited to explore what my voice can do next.

Kate is a lyric soprano and vocal coach, currently singing with award-winning mixed voice quartet Flat Mates (@flat_mates_quartet).
Kate specialises in cross-genre performance, and her coaching is committed to collaborating with singers to help them develop their own intuition for how their voice wants to be sung across a broad range of styles and genres.
Kate trained with the late operatic tenor Philip Doghan and spent her early career singing with the Royal Academy of Music Chamber Choir and Philharmonia Chorus student singer scheme. She has since worked as a professional consort singer with many of those shaping the choral and vocal chamber music of today, including Master of the Queen’s Music Judith Weir, Jonathan Wilcocks, Patrick Russill, Nigel Short, Eamonn Dougan, Gregory Batsleer, Hilary Campbell and the late Stefan Bevier. Career highlights include numerous BBC broadcasts for Radio 3’s The Choir and the Last Night of the Proms; a residency with the National Portrait Gallery’s “Portrait Choir”; solo appearances at St Martin-in-the-Fields and Salzburg Festival; projects with the Britten Sinfonia, London Mozart Players, and Latitude Festival. She is a recording artist for Naxos, Convivium Records, Resonus Classics and Hyperion Records.
In 2024, a few friends met at a pub and decided to start a vocal group. Within a year, Flat Mates quartet won gold at Holland Harmony international barbershop competition, silver in the UK, and has quickly become the new genre-defying kid on the vocal close-harmony block. With a growing repertoire spanning jazz, barbershop, musical theatre, latin and swing, and a collaboration with YouTuber Max Fosh under its belt... who's to say what's next?
Kate lives with her partner Conrad in Forest Hill, South London.
